Disabled Man Seeking Guiness World Record for Fastest "Roll" Across America

BOSTON, MA -  Homes That Change Lives™ announced today that Matt Eddy and Ron Steenbruggen are in the midst of a cross-country trip to raise money and awareness to assist the growing number of those with special needs that lack adequate housing.  The duo is attempting to set a Guinness World Record “Trans USA by Wheelchair” Claim ID 279955 while conducting the “Million Smiles Tour”.

It’s a scorchingly hot Sunday afternoon in Muncie, Indiana, and several men—young as 20 and old as 60—file in and out of Dan’s Downtown Records, formerly located at 219 W. Main Street. Each pass through the doors with brown cartons, with green and black and pink plastic crates, stacked full with the tens of thousands of articles contained in this building which for 6 years held forth as Muncie’s premier—and, in many ways, only—record store.

I had been wondering, just what it is going to take to find jobs in this 21st Century Work Environment?  Well this article just about jumped off the screen as I started to read it a bit more in depth; and it struck me that much of what is being sought is being taught by Military Schools, Experienced in the Military, and that this kind of searching for such talent, should put Military at the forefront of good jobs.

The Shrinking American Middle Class?

I usually look around the Internet for interesting news to track and came across this tidbit of statistical information that purports, to be able to prove, that we do indeed have a "Shrinking" middle class in America today.  The article tracks some time frames and reasons for this shrinkage, and its possible further fallout across our nation.

Fair time

 Want to know what some of the biggest crowd pleasers are at the Delaware County Fair? Fair Board President Jane Lasater suggests the hog wrestling in the Grandstand on Monday and the always popular Band Day contest Friday are the ones to watch.

Will work for food? Where are all those signs we used to see?

It was not all that long ago, that I used to see a lot of the cities street corners with someone holding a sign reading "will work for food" and it seems,. that it is not as prevalent as it once was.  It take this as a good sign, that those who do qualify for food stamps are indeed getting them for themselves and their families in good turn while looking for gainful employment.
