05/17/2008 - 12:00pm
05/17/2008 - 2:00pm

Many of our WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and of course Gulf War, and other combat action Vets are still alive, and deserve our support, and a hardy welcome home, for having done their Duty for God and Country.  So, Here we are again looking at major Holidays approaching all too fast for some, and not soon enough for others.

This year the Untied Veterans Council of Delaware County (UVCDC), has decided to try to have our yearly Memorial Day Parade, on Veterans Day instead, to avoid scheduling conflicts with so many other events going on in so many other areas locally and around the state.

UVCDC Commander Joe Mansfield is the Point of Contact for parade information and confirmation, and Joe, is still looking for  Marching Bands, Drill Teams, Floats and more.  Sponsors and Event attendees, are encouraged to contact Joe Mansfield at 765-744-6393 to confirm participation (Free).

There are Prizes for Best Band, Drill Team, Float, Etc. and you can get more details by calling Joe at 765-744-6393.  Our Veterans have given their best, can you spare some weekend time to show them you appreciate their service?

to Retire your U.S., State, and Service /POW-MIA Flags with Honor.  Need Help doing that?  Turn your worn and tattered flags into the nearest American Legion, AMVETS, or Boy Scouts Office for Proper Retirement / Disposal with Honor.
