Indiana crop report Lucky 13 for eastern corn belt

MUNCIE, IN - Purdue agricultural economist Chris Hurt has a funny way of predicting grain and land prices besides growing conditions in the Hoosier state, especially after the worst drought seen during much of the last century.
"It's better to be vaguely right instead of absolutely wrong," said Hurt, to farmers listening to his crop report at the Delaware County Farm Festival.
The rivers run through it
MT, ETNA, IN - That season less year as Purdue climatologists and agronomists call it has struck again, knocking out two of the five river watersheds that run through central Indiana.
