U.S. 52 to Reopen in New Palestine
Major Moves Ribbon Cutting Ceremony At 1 P.M.
NEW PALESTINE, Ind.-Main Street is open for business!
U.S. Highway 52 through New Palestine will reopen months ahead of schedule next Wednesday, August 26-after completely closing to traffic on March 30 for major reconstruction. A formal ribbon cutting ceremony at 1 p.m. will feature the New Palestine Marching Dragons, government leaders, construction officials and a fire truck-led caravan of celebratory motorists traveling through the construction zone west to east.
INDOT Announces Lincoln Avenue to Close North of State Road 66 in Warrick County
NEWBURGH, IN - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is announcing that on Monday, April 20, Lincoln Avenue on the north side of State Road 66 (S.R. 66) will close. As work continues on the Major Moves project in Newburgh, crews will need to close Lincoln Avenue.
U.S. 40 Opens to Unrestricted Traffic Before Busy Holiday Rush
Rebuilding from Memorial Park Cemetery to Washington Square Mall starts in Spring 2009
INDIANAPOLIS, IN - At about 8 p.m. last night, Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractors opened all new lanes of U.S. 40/East Washington Street to unrestricted traffic between Franklin Road and Memorial Park Cemetery. Drivers can expect three through lanes in each direction as well as new or extended turn lanes. In an effort to accommodate increased traffic due to holiday shopping, INDOT crews have made efforts to maximize access for businesses along U.S. 40.
I-69 Northbound Loop to Northbound Coldwater Road is Open

ALLEN COUNTY, IN - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces today that all ramps and loops at the Coldwater Interchange are now open. This includes the northbound I-69 exit loop to northbound Coldwater Road.
Accelerate 465 Southbound Traffic Shifts Thursday

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Westside motorists should stay alert for new Accelerate 465 traffic patterns that take effect before the morning rush hour on Thursday, October 30. Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractors plan to shift I-465 southbound between I-65 and I-74 toward the center median into three new lanes.
Interstate 65 Traffic Diverted at State Road 28
Crews will be setting beams Friday and Saturday night
CLINTON COUNTY, IN -The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces Interstate 65 (I-65) traffic at State Road 28 (S.R. 28), exit 158, will be diverted up the off-ramp and back onto I-65 via the on-ramp Friday, October 10 beginning at 11:55 p.m. Crews will be setting beams for the bridge, weather permitting. Work will begin in the southbound lanes and then continue in the northbound lanes. Work will continue on Saturday night and possibly Monday beginning at 11:55 p.m. Police officers will be assisting with traffic control during this time.
I-80/94 Lanes Restricted During Major Moves Resurface Construction
Restrictions scheduled for Monday through November
LAKE COUNTY, IN - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces I-80/94 between Central Avenue and I-90 (the Indiana Toll Road) will be restricted to two lanes in each direction Sept. 22 through November 2008. This will allow construction to progress on the $2.7 million Major Moves Preservation resurface construction project scheduled for completion in November 2008.
Detour Routes Established for Nine-month Closure of I-65
GARY, IN - To help the public and businesses become fully aware of the nine-month closure of I-65 beginning on or after March 1, The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has prepared a map showing details of the roadway sections and ramps that will be restricted during the construction. The map is available to view online. This work is part of the second contract for the Major Moves New Construction Interchange Modification at I-65 and I-80/94 (the Frank Borman Expressway).
34th Street Bridge over I-465 in Indy to Close This Week
Nighttime I-465 lane closures anticipated during demolition
INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Westside motorists should anticipate detours as the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) prepares to replace the 34th Street bridge over I-465. Depending upon weather, contractors plan to close the bridge Monday afternoon, January 21. Traffic will be detoured through July over High School Road, 38th Street and Eagle Creek Parkway. At last count, over 11,000 vehicles use the bridge each day.
U.S. 6 to Close Periodically While Comcast Relocates Overhead Lines

PORTERCOUNTY, IN - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces that U.S. 6 between Swanson and County Line roads in Porter County will be periodically closed between 11 p.m. Oct. 31 and 6 a.m. Nov. 1 while Comcast continues to relocate its overhead lines.
