Kindle book for free download: kNewspapers: A Novel About Love and Citizen Journalism Available NOW

    Free Press Report

MUNCIE, IN - A novel about Citizen Journalism (and love) is being released as a free download on Kindle today, Tuesday June 18, 2013. Over a year in the making, kNewspapers is not a short book, but K. Paul Mallasch, the author, hopes that the autobiographical novel gets people to think and join a conversation online about "citizen journalism" and how to best serve the people and uphold the values of Journalism.

While many non-fiction books have been written about citizen journalism, Mallasch believes he is the first to tackle the subject using a fictional narrative.

YORKTOWN, IN - The orange tractor planting corn stood out among the green trees and grass of Gary Prater's back 40 on Monday.

And it was retired veterinarian and neighbor Neil Perril helping out to give Gary's Garden that one last push before summer and fall.

Prater recently was laid up, but returned to the garden in time to harvest a bumper crop of new strawberries that are sweet and just the taste of the early garden season.

But Yorktown's well known organic Gardner says it will be a late garden with broccoli, cauliflower and other vegetables in October and even November that will surprise even the old farmers and farm to table crowd because of historic rain in April and a continued wet spring.

MUNCIE, IN - With a Colt 45 malt liquor, Afroman sang familiar tunes about sex, marijuana and his favorite beverage while a crowd of Ball State students and others enjoyed the rap party Friday at Be Here Now.

The nationally known, Grammy nominated entertainer with his big booty and boobie girls threw down a late show that was amazing and entertaining from his well known "Because I Got High" to "Drunk 'n' High."

Joseph Edgar Foreman is a natural born rapper, starting in middle school and selling about 400 copies of a song about being kicked out of school. The rest is a journey from The Howard Stern Show to a fight at the Grammys with Rednex and never ending songs about how his life derails by smoking marijuana or drinking malt liquor.

ANDERSON, IN - You could feel the energy Friday at the Flagship Enterprise Center when Keihin North America dedicated their new headquarters that actually began the now occupied development park.

"Anderson has become a global city," said Mayor Kevin Smith as more than 100 community leaders, and Keihin engineers, planning and other executives watched the dedication and ribbon cutting.

Gregory Young, Keihin vice president, talked about how the Honda parts supplier had grown to nearly $750 million in investment in the United States since coming here with Honda in 1956.

That beginning in Ohio where Honda built its first American car grew elsewhere with a plant and offices in Greensfield in 1989 and another plant in Muncie a decade later.
