hello muncie, no pop-ups...

well, hello world, from the site while it's still in the 'garage' getting souped-up like a modern day, fuel economy conscious hot-rod. i haven't written a lot lately, but i've been thinking, dreaming some more, and patching code together to produce a place where the community can come together.Anyway, I'm thinking of promising not to ever run pop-ups or pop-unders or pop-overs on the site. To say, here, publicly, that if you ever see one on this site, lemme know (hit the contact us button) and we'll look into it. (Sometimes pop-ups are signs of an infected computer and not necessarily originating from a website...)

Sure, I could make some quick money with them most likely, but I don't like them. They seem dirty. Now, as a start-up, I definitely could use the money, don't get me wrong. I want to try not to sell-out, though, and make money the most important thing. (For if it was, wouldn't I have a career other than that of a journalist, a poet or a pilgrim?)

Just some thoughts from me to you, the community at large. We're going to meet sometime in the near future and it's both frightening and exciting at the same time.
