Muncie High Schools Set Date for Prom
MUNCIE, IN – Saturday, May 12 is the night that both of Muncie Community Schools’ high school junior classes will host their annual formal event - the 2007 Prom.
“Passport to Paris” is the theme of the Central High School Prom, according to Jenny Leach, one of this year’s prom’s sponsors. The dance will be at the Ball State University Student Center Ballroom from 7:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
Bids are $25 single admission and $50 per couple. Starting Monday, April 16, bids will be on sale in the Student Center during both lunch periods.The After Prom will be at the Ball State University Student Center Lower Level from12:30 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. Other Junior Class sponsors are teachers Joshua Hittle and Molly Johnson.
The theme for the Southside High School Prom is “A Red Carpet Affair” and will be at the Cornerstone Center for the Arts from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Bids will be offered for $50 per couple. Junior Class Sponsors are Marla Campbell, Kristi Ellis, and Aaron Wiley.
The sponsors have received donated gift certificates for prom preparation including tanning and hair appointments, manicures, dinners at local restaurants, and free limousine service from 6 p.m. to midnight. Prom bids and raffle tickets are on sale in the cafeteria during lunch
periods on Fridays. Raffle tickets will be sold until April 27 for $1.00 each or six for $5.00. After Prom will take place at the Union Chapel Church I-80 building from 12:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. Students with prom bids will be admitted free and juniors and seniors who do not attend prom will be charged $10 to attend.
