this weekend
Hey Everybody!
So this weekend I am going on an encounter with my church. It's a weekend retreat about encountering God, yourself and other woman (or men on the men's encounter). I just wanted to ask you for your prayers this weekend that all the 19 women going will recieve what it is that God wants them to get of this weekend. I also had a little something to share before I left to bless your weekend.
Isaiah 45:3, 19- And I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that it is I the Lord your God who calls you by name. 19: I have not spoken in secret, in a corner in the land of darkness; I did not call the descendants of Jacob to a fruitless services saying, Seek me for nothing. But I promised them a just reward. I the Lord, speak rightousness (the truth, trustworthy, straightforward, correspondance between deeds and words); I declare things that are right.
It is not God's desire to play hide and seek with us. He has all the answers we are searching for and he even desires to give them to us. He walks in rightousness though. In the dictionary righteous means - morally upright, without guilt or sin. God above all desires an intimate relationship with us and we can only be intimate with him if we are seeking his face and desiring to be with him too. This means we must lay down our unpure motives and desires and the lifestyle that keeps us from growing closer to him. If we are not trying to walk in rightousness (of course we will fail some of the time) then how do we expect him to answer our prayers when our intentions are unpure and not in the will of God. Just remember to seek his face and to above all ask that his glory shine in the answering of your request and he will answer. It may not be the way you think it will happen but God knows far and above how to make our lives truly worth living. Walk with him in your everyday life and you will feel your heart start to change and your selfish motives disapear. If you live a life worthy to God's calling you will recieve what you ask because God knows that he can trust you with his answer because above all he wants to be glorified so others can see too how great is our God.
Have a beautiful weekend!
Much love, hope, peace and joy,
Liz Alberding
