Anderson Extreme Skate Plaza Grand Opening Changed to May 14

ANDERSON, IN - Mayor Kevin S. Smith will preside over the grand opening of the Anderson Extreme Skateboard Plaza at Mays Park, Madison Avenue and West 10th Streets, Monday, May 14 at 5 p.m. The Anderson skate park is a “street influenced” park, styled after one in Kettering, Ohio, according to Parks Naturalist Tamara Doty.

Scheduling conflicts necessitated a change in grand opening events from an announcement distributed earlier today.

Site Design Group, designer of the Kettering Park, is responsible for the Anderson park as well. The park covers 1600 square feet and is primarily for use by skateboards and roller blades.
