Kids Helping Kids for Katrina Relief Benefit Concert

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Ben Utecht, the 6 foot 6 inch tight end for the World Champion Indianapolis Colts will be one of the many participants of the Kids Helping Kids for Katrina Relief benefit concert that will be held at Kingsway Christian School on Thursday, May 17th. Utecht will sign autographs from 6 to 6:50 pm for anybody attending the fundraiser designed to put musical instruments back in the schools and the hands of students who lost everything in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and children. Utecht will also perform a song during the concert portion of the evening.
Also performing will be the Indianapolis Children's Choir, the Suzuki Violin students, members of the New World Youth Symphony, the Covenant Christian High School Chamber choir and Strings group and selected students from Kingsway Christian School. One piece in particular will be featured that was composed by the Covenant strings class and will be performed through the combined efforts of all the groups. It's entitled: Triumph of the Human Spirit: A Song For New Orleans.
The evening is the first-ever joint effort of the music departments of Kingsway and Covenant with all funds being donated to the Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation who is coordinating the effort to assist Katrina victims. The concert begins at 7:00. Tickets are available at the Kingsway and Covenant school offices during regular school hours.
