MCS Educators Present at Indiana Urban Schools Association Summer Conference
INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Dr. Brad Oliver, director of professional services for Muncie Community Schools, and secondary school math coach Kristy Thompson, led sessions at the Indiana Urban Schools Association Summer Conference last week.
Dr. Oliver, along with Indiana Department of Education Title I Director Lee Ann Kwaitkowski, presented The Changing Landscape of Title I: LEA and SEA Perspectives June 20. Mrs. Thompson shared learned experiences from the corporation’s four-year participation in the federal Title IID EET Grant (Enhancing Education through Technology) June 21 by sharing student achievement results by means of technology in the classroom with the presentation Internet and Algebra – What a Formula!
Muncie Community Schools central office administrators attending the seventh annual Summer Conference were Superintendent Marlin B. Creasy, Assistant Superintendent Steve Edwards, Ermalene Faulkner, Don Holderman, Karen Jones, Judy Valos, and Warner VanFleet. Participants from the secondary schools included building administrators Dick Daniel, Dale Basham, DiLynn Phelps, Chris E. Smith, and Rebecca Thompson.
