New Castle will Go to the Dogs Again!

NEW CASTLE, IN - Saturday & Sunday, July 28-29 the Indy Dog & Disc with the Henry County Convention & Visitors Bureau will host the 2007 Hyperflite Skyhoundz Canine Disc Northeast Central Championship for the 3rd consecutive year.  This year’s event is sponsored by Eagle Pack Natural Pet Foods and will be held at Osbourne Park, located at 2700 Washington Street.

Top finishing teams in Freestyle, Pairs, MicroDog and Distance/Accuracy will receive invitations to compete at the World Championship after winning the title of Regional Champion.  Last year, this event saw over 280 teams from 10 different states go “paw-to-paw” for that chance.  For the past two years, four (4) world championship titles have come from this regional competition in New Castle, IN.

For those who would like to see their dogs to jump through the air and catch a flying disc, Friday, July 27th there will be a FREE training session to teach both the dogs and their owners.

Spectators can come and watch this event for FREE! Families are invited and encouraged to come, enjoy this unique event and applaud the talented canine athletes. Unlike professional sports figures, many of these four-legged competitors are eager to mingle and rub noses with their fans.
