Muncie Central High School Welcomes Freshmen with Free Event

MUNCIE, IN - Central High School’s Student Council will host a “New Freshmen Welcome Session” for all incoming Central High School freshmen from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, August 9. This is a free, fun event to help new Bearcats feel more prepared for their first day of high school, according to Student Council Sponsor Julie Rinker Bailey.

Current Student Council members will introduce “Bearcat Leaders,” students who can assist freshmen find their classes on the first day of school August 16. The two-hour session will include get-acquainted ice breakers, a tour of the building, skits about Central High School, a trivia game, and a question-and-answer session. Incoming freshmen should contact Mrs. Jenny Leach at 747-5260 to confirm attendance by Wednesday morning, August 8. CHS Principal Dick Daniel looks forward to meeting all new freshmen at this special session for students new to the high school
