Getting Organized: Announcing Muncie Free Press Freelance Assignments
This is just something I whipped together tonight (this morning) - MFP Freelance Assignments, but I want to start using it right away because I think it's a good idea. Basically, an easy way for me to let people know about things I'm interested in getting covered for MFP's readers - photographers, reporters, observers, etc. We can do more if we're better organized maybe.
Here's the important part. All of the freelance assignments will be 'unpaid' at this time. If you're observant, though, (a good quality for a grassroots journalist!) you'll notice that there are options for 'Paid' and 'Barter' assignments. I doubt there will be any paid assignments for a while, but they will come around eventually if all goes to plan.
In the meantime, you can help your community by volunteering to cover events for MFP. I may throw a barter assignment in here and there - which means I would barter my skills in exchange for you completing the assignment.
I'll be adding more stuff this week and next. In the meantime, take it for a test drive and let me know what you think. I'll be thinking about the best place to add it on the main site navigation.

Just Tell Me what you want done first and If I can I will help. Hopefully it is already something I am already involved in and only have to expand on that.

Good place to start
Something you're already involved in is a great place to start. Basically, I'm looking for people to share here on MFP things already going on in their lives. So, you helping us with notes from Veteran's meetings (maybe city council meetings), information about what's going on in that sector in muncie, etc. Hopefully you sharing that information will spur people to get involved or even just know what's available and what's happening out there.
Do you have access to any type of digital audio recorder?

Paul, I will do what I can where I can; as I am already attending may meetings in may different groups. I do NOT own, or have access, to a Digital Anything I Don't think.
I don't even have a Cell Phone. I pretty much use a Flea Market Computer, that has been bumped up several times and work from home. But I do get a lot of Diverse Patrons in from many different walks of Life and we Talk, discuss, debate sometimes even Pray while at the Shop.
Digital Human
Well, you do have you, and that's more than enough. So any notes, thoughts, reflections after meetings would be great.
Someday we'll have equipment for people like you, Lord willing. ;)
