Early Dismissal for Muncie Community Schools Wednesday
MUNCIE, IN - With the lack of air conditioning and the limited air movement in a number of the Muncie Community Schools undergoing renovations, in addition to a projected high temperature and high humidity for Wednesday, August 22, 2007, the Muncie Community Schools will close early tomorrow, August 22, 2007.
Because of child-care concerns throughout the school corporation, the early dismissal will be for all schools within the Muncie Community Schools. Dismissal will begin at the elementary schools following lunch at approximately 1:00 p.m. Middle schools and high schools will follow the elementary dismissal time.
Any decision on early dismissal based on projected heat and humidity will be made on a daily basis, according to Supt. Marlin B. Creasy.
