Letter: Army Surplus Moving back to Old Location
Army Surplus, and Sow N Sews Custom Sewing Holding Fast at 1810 East Jackson Street. for 2007
Today is Labor Day 2007, and a week after I have met with the City of Muncie Building Commissioner’s Office and the Planning Commission Office, over the use of the Small Quonset Hut Buildings I have been planning on using in a Temporary Effort, to allow the City/County to do their Tank Yank out necessary to clear our property line adjoining theirs. That would allow me to build along the property line to allow for a bigger building.
And I was told this time around, I "could" use the “Quonset Hut Buildings” I designed to be “Temporary/Transportable”, if I did the following:
- Put in a Permeate Foundation, either poured slab or crawl space with footer,
- Put in a working toilet system,
- Use Certified Electricians an Plumbers for the Work.
- Limit folks to the first four feet of the building entrance.
- Insure the buildings are kept safe, Fire, heat, walkway, electric, etc.
Now understand this is an improvement from what was being insisted on form last year.
Also I was still required to do 'Foundation Improvements and Landscaping Plantings' that would serve to do area beautification for the overall site and parking / driveway was confirmed. . . . all in all it is a move in the right direction.
I was allowed to “remove the buildings’, to get the site work done and put them back on after the Foundations Plantings, plumbing and such were set in place. So in the mean time, we are back at our OLD LOCATION once again and will remain here until I can afford to do the upgrades.
So if you are looking for me still; come over to my home site, and we will be happy to keep the intent of the agreement with city Building / planning while preparing to develop the site at S. Macedonia Ave. Looking more like next spring? ? ?
