Advertising Federation of East Central Indiana Luncheon

MUNCIE, IN - The Advertising Federation of East Central Indiana announces their 2007-08 luncheons and events. They will kick off the year, September 14 with Michael Gellar, account executive for AOL. He will speak on Practicing the Art of Digital Conversation. 

Other speakers and events include Clint Runge, co-founder/creative director—archrival on October 5 speaking on Youth Marketing and Their Shifting Trends; Steve Lance, partner—Unconventional Wisdom, November 9 will be speaking on Advertising—Advertising 2, Oh! Back to the Future. The Ad Fed Media and Gift Auction is slated for December 14. 

January 11, 2007 brings Chris Hutchinson, owner—Shotgun Concepts speaking on Selling Good Works: Fundamentals of Marketing a Non-Profit Organization. February 23 will be the 26th ADDY Banquet with ADDY entry drop-off dates scheduled for January 17-18. Randy Snow, vice president, creative director for R&R Partners will be the guest speaker on March 7. He will speak on What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas. April 11, John Mollison, partner—The Runway Company will speak on Building Brands in Small Towns and Rural Markets. Rounding out the year will be John Moore, author of Brand Autopsy. His topic will be Starbucks Tribal Knowledge. 

All luncheons will begin 11:30 a.m., at the Horizon Convention Center, 401 S. High St., Muncie. Cost for is $15 for members, $7 for students and $20 for non-members. There are three convenient ways to make a reservation: on-line RSVP at www.adfedeci.org, e-mail to acondran@comcast.net or call (765) 289-3676. All program meals must be paid by cash, credit card either Visa or Master Card, or check at the meetings. Invoices to charge a meal will not be standard and will incur a $3 surcharge fee. 

Detailed information about the Ad Fed Auction and ADDY Banquet will be made available at a future date. 

Ad Fed of ECI is part of the American Advertising Federation, a national organization that promotes excellence in advertising. The local club meets regularly to connect, create and inspire professionals involved in advertising and related fields by holding workshops and programs relevant to those interested and working with students to connect them with professional opportunities.

It would appear that he's trying to kill two birds with one stone because he will also be addressing students from the Miller College of Business in room 125 of the new Letterman Building @ 3:00pm on Sept. 13, 2007 as part of the Distinguished Speaker Series for the Advanced Professionalism Certificate program.
