Kynda Rinker Named Interim Executive Director of Muncie Children's Museum

MUNCIE, IN - Kynda Rinker, director of operations and administration, has been named interim executive director of the Muncie Children’s Museum by the Museum’s Board of Directors.

Rinker will serve as the interim executive director until a new executive director is chosen to replace Jama Cashdollar, who assumed a position with AIG in Charlotte, N.C.  Rinker assumed her extended responsibilities on September 10.

Shonet Lambert-Martin, director of education-exhibits, said, “I have all of the faith in the world in her.  She’s going to keep the Museum running well during this transition process.”

Rinker joined the Museum in July 1997.  This is her second time as the Museum’s interim executive director.  She also took the role as interim executive director in May 2004.

Rinker is originally from Western Pennsylvania, but moved to Yorktown with her family when she was younger.  She graduated from Yorktown High School as well as Ball State University where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting.

She is married to Brett Rinker.  They have one child, Emma.
