Matt Tusing Sworn in as Deputy Secretary of State

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Monday, September 24, Indiana Secretary of State Todd Rokita placed former Leesburg resident Matt Tusing under oath as Deputy Secretary of State and Chief of Staff. The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Indiana State House.

"Secretary Rokita's leadership motivates those of us who want to make Indiana a better place to work and live," stated Tusing. "I am absolutely honored to help him continue to move Indiana in a new direction - a direction of increased integrity in our elections and increased security in our economic development."

Tusing joins Secretary Rokita after working for the Indiana Attorney General's office, where he advised on matters related to professional licensing and investigations. He previously served Indiana as Deputy Communications Director in the Indiana House of Representatives. He is a graduate of Warsaw Community High School and holds a degree from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. He is concurrently finishing a law degree with Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis.

"Matt brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership experience from his work with the Indiana House of Representatives and the Indiana Attorney General," said Rokita. "Matt understands that our state requires dedicated public servants who believe that good government is built on integrity, efficiency, and the perpetual drive to improve services for every Hoosier statewide. I look forward to working with him."
