Today, Sept. 26, 2007, marks the 10th Anniversary of the theft of Idaho. It was her theft and recovery that inspired this organization.

We hope that you will join us in celebrating this significant moment today, and throughout the next 51 weeks.

When Debi and Harold discovered Idaho had been stolen the morning of Sept. 26, 1997, they agreed to search for her for a year. If Idaho wasn't found in that time, they would go back to "life as normal".

51 weeks later, they brought her home, but they quickly discovered that life would never be "normal" again. Too many other victims of theft needed help. And helping them became the Metcalfe's mission. Forming Stolen Horse International became Debi's way of fighting back and those we took so much from her family.

Today, Idaho is 23 years old, and still grazing happily in the Metcalfe's pasture, and occasionally enjoying  a ride with the family.
