Troopers Investigate Crash and Driver's Death

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Indiana State Police investigated an early morning single vehicle crash off of I-465 that investigators believe was caused by a medical condition of the driver.

Trooper Mike Meinczinger (Indianapolis District) investigated the 5:45 a.m. crash that occurred off of southbound I-465 involving a 1993 Oldsmobile driven by William L. Anderson age 23, 958 McClure Street Indianapolis, Indiana. When emergency crews arrived, the driver was deceased.

Anderson was southbound on I-465 and exited onto the 10th Street ramp, continued across 10th Street, struck an information sign and then traveled southwest down the embankment across High School Road, stopping on the property of the Wayne Township Fire Department Training Facility.

The vehicle sustained minor damage and Anderson was wearing his seat belt, and it is believed he suffered a medical condition causing his death.

The investigation into crash and death continues by troopers and the Marion County Coroner's Office and further questions regarding the cause of death are directed to the coroner at 317-327-4744.
