1313th Engineer Company Returns from Operation Iraqi Freedom
38 Indiana National Guard Soldiers Coming Home
INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Indiana Soldiers are scheduled to arrive home Saturday, September 29, 2007, after completing missions overseas. During their deployment, the mission for this unit was the search, detection, identification and route clearance of improvised explosive devices (IEDs.).
Maj. Gen. R. Martin Umbarger, the Adjutant General for Indiana, received notification that 38 Indiana National Guard Soldiers of the 1313th Engineer Company (headquartered in Edinburgh, Indiana) have arrived at Ft. McCoy in Wisconsin and will return home Saturday morning on September 29th.
Family and friends are expected to greet the returning soldiers at the 219th National Guard Armory, Hospital Rd., Camp Atterbury, Edinburgh, Indiana. All flights are subject to change due to aircraft availability, weather, and air traffic control measures.
