Funeral Arrangements for Indiana National Guard Soldier

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The Indiana National Guard Joint Forces Headquarters has released the funeral service arrangements for Sgt. Gerald J. Cassidy, 32, of Westfield, Ind. Sgt. Cassidy was a member Battery C, 2-150th Field
Artillery Battalion, headquartered in Lebanon, Ind.

Gov. Mitch Daniels will attend the funeral services, along with the Indiana Adjutant General Maj. Gen. R. Martin Umbarger and other members of the Indiana National Guard.

The funeral services will be held in Carmel and Noblesville, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Trust Fund of Sarah Flanders at First Indiana Bank, 14841 Greyhound Court, Carmel, Ind. 46032.

Out of respect for the wishes of the family, the public and media is asked not to attend the viewing.

Media will have access to the funeral service on Monday. A limited number of seats will be available in the back during the service. Please contact the Indiana National Guard Public Affairs Office, if you wish to attend.
