Educators Plan Golf Outing for NMS Administrator Brad Maine

MUNCIE, INDIANA - A benefit golf outing is being coordinated to support and raise money for cancer victim Brad Maine, Northside Middle School assistant principal, and his family.

Justin Oliver, Central High School technology education teacher, is coordinating the Four-Man Best Ball Scramble golf event planned for Sunday, October 14 at the Cardinal Hills Golf Course in Selma starting at 1:00 p.m.  During the tournament, prizes will be given for closest to the hole, longest drive, and a Hole-in-One chance to win a one-year lease on a Toyota Tundra.

Click on the golf tournament website at www.mainefamilybenefit.com to print out a tournament entry form or contact Mr. Oliver at 744-6487. All entries must be received by Monday, October 8th.  Mr. Oliver says the greatest need at this time is teams of four to register to play.

At 6:00 p.m., the public is invited to participate in an auction that will be held at the tournament site with unique items up for bid including a Peyton Manning football helmet, an Indiana University Package, a 2008 Cardinal Hills Golf Membership, a Brady Hoke signed football (Ball State), a Tom Izzo signed basketball (Michigan State), a Mark Dantonio signed football (Michigan State), a Hall of Fame Baseball Player Bob Gibson signed baseball, a Carl Erskine autographed baseball, a Bob Knight autographed basketball, a Bonzi Wells signed shoe and basketball, an Emmit Smith signed photo, a 2007 Indy 500 commemorative clothing package, Indiana University vs. Ball State football tickets, Indianapolis Pacers Tickets, Indianapolis Colts Tickets, and an IHSAA state boys’ basketball tournament program autographed by former Pacer Stephen Jackson.
