Central High School JROTC Hosts Second Annual Olympics

MUNCIE, Ind. -  One hundred and thirty Junior ROTC students from nine central Indiana high schools, including Central High School and Southside High School, competed Saturday, October 13 in the second Annual Central Indiana JROTC Olympics hosted by Muncie Central High School JROTC.  The students competed in six events including a 100-yard dash, 1-mile relay, softball throw, long jump, push ups, and a 2½ ton truck pull. 

Central High School finished second place in the overall team standings.  Cadet Korinne Reinke, Central High School, won individual first-place honors in the softball throw and the 100-yard dash.   
The top three standings of the Olympics were

  • First place – Northwest High School, Indianapolis
  • Second place – Central High School, Muncie
  • Third place – Arsenal Tech High School, Indianapolis
