State Agencies Begin Small Business Road Show This Week

INDIANAPOLIS, IN  - A team of state agencies will host the first of four regional workshops Tuesday aimed at introducing Indiana small businesses to state programs and resources.

Hosted in partnership with the National Federation of Independent Business, the three-hour workshops will provide small business owners information about how to access state-sponsored programs and introduce businesses to state managers charged with overseeing small business initiatives.

Tuesday's workshop is slated from 3 to 6 p.m. (Central) in Ivy Tech's Vectren Auditorium (3501 First Ave., Evansville).   The team will host a second session in Indianapolis from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Indiana Government Center Conference Center (402 W. Washington St.).

The team will also host workshops in Fort Wayne Oct. 30 and in Gary Oct. 31. 

Registration for the workshops is free but limited. Small businesses may register to attend one of the four workshops by calling 1-888-472-3244 or logging on to www.IN.gov/confreg.

Representatives from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, Department of Workforce Development, Department of Environmental Management, Department of Administration, Department of Labor, Department of Transportation, Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor and Indiana Secretary of State will be available at each workshop.
