Safe Night Halloween Party at Indiana State Fairgrounds in its 12th Year

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Dozens of community agencies, businesses and organizations are coming together to make the Indiana State Fairgrounds' South Pavilion the place to be again this Halloween.  The 12th annual Safe Night Halloween party runs from 5 to 7 p.m. October 31, and is free for all children in costume ages 12 and younger who are accompanied by an adult.

Groups like the Indianapolis Indians and New Beginnings Ministries will be on hand to help children enjoy the dozens of treat stations set-up all around the pavilion.  Kids can also have fun and win prizes at a variety of games like pumpkin bowling, basketball shoot, baseball speed toss and more.  There will also be temporary tattoos and face-painting, arts and crafts and other fun activities.

The Indianapolis Fire Department returns with a fire engine, and popular mascots McGruff the Crime Dog, the Indians' "Rowdie" and the Indiana Ice's "Biggie" will also pay a visit.

Safe Night Halloween began as a community service for fairgrounds-area neighborhood families and, thanks to many great sponsors and not-for-profit organizations, has provided fun and safety education to nearly 40,000 area children since 1996.  This year's Safe Night partners include:
