Steve Lance Ad Fed Speaker for November
MUNCIE, Ind. - Steve Lance is the guest speaker for the Advertising Federation of East Central Indiana’s November 9 program, 11:30 a.m., at the Horizon Convention Center, Muncie. The topic Advertising 2.Oh! Back to the Future offers insight into the changing nature of advertiser communication, the role agencies, suppliers and vendors will play in the current media environment including broadband penetration and user-created content and how national regional and local advertisers can participate in a universe of consumer talkback and empowerment across the Internet, PDA’s and community sites like MySpace and MOLI.
Lance is co-author of “The Little Blue Book of Advertising” and partner of Unconventional Wisdom, a marketing firm serving clients such as The Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, Food TV, Discovery Communications, Inc., The Travel Channel, The Hallmark Channel, National Geographic Channel, PBS, Hyperion Solutions, Yankelovick Partners, Burson-Marsteller, Citizen Watch and Crest Toothpaste. Past work as creative director for NBC, he developed tag lines with Richie Kahn, NBC Us and NBC Proud As A Peacock. As creative director of the entertainment division of Della Femina, Travisano and Partners he was awarded One Show and Andy Awards for Sports Channel commercials and an Emmy Award for Best Station News Campaign for WBZ-TV. His work for NBC’s Community Affairs Division provided the format for “The More You Know,” a public service campaign of which he wrote the first 17 spots. Unconventional Wisdom is deep into development of Web 2.0 - providing digital content for clients across a broad range of platforms.
