State Police K-9's seize nearly 5 Pounds of Crystal Meth

SPENCER COUNTY, IN - On Saturday October 27, 2007, Indiana State Police Troopers arrested Cesar Luis Farel Lozano, 26, Evansville for Dealing and Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine and Cocaine.

At approximately 1:30 a.m. Indiana State Police Sergeant Kirby Stailey and Trooper Brian Laroche stopped a 2001 Ford Windstar van for speeding on I-64 near the 54 mile marker.  After talking with Mr. Lozano, Trooper Laroche decided to conduct an exterior trot of the vehicle with his K-9 Justice. 

Justice gave a positive alert to the presence of narcotics on or in the vehicle.  Troopers Philip Hensley and Mark Lehmkuhler were called to the scene to assist.  Trooper Lehmkuhler conducted a second exterior trot of the vehicle with his K-9 Brode.  Brode also alerted to the presence of narcotics.

A subsequent search of the vehicle by the troopers led to the discovery of nearly 5 pounds of Crystal Methamphetamine within the rear quarter panels of the vehicle.  Mr. Lozano was also found to be in possession of over 3 grams of Cocaine.  Mr. Lozano was arrested without incident and taken to the Spencer County Jail.

            Cesar Luis Farel Lozano, 26, 3021 Serbana Drive, Evansville, IN

                        1. Dealing Methamphetamine over 3 grams, Class A Felony

                        2. Possession of Methamphetamine over 3 grams, Class C Felony

                        3. Possession of Cocaine over 3 grams, Class C Felony

The estimated street value of the Crystal Methamphetamine is more than $100,000.
