IDEM Seeks Public Comment on Indianapolis Wastewater Permit Draft

Permit would combine two treatment plants under one permit

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The Indiana Department of Environmental Management is seeking comments from the public on the environmental wastewater permit renewal for the City of Indianapolis.

The permit number IN0023183 will cover Indianapolis’ two treatment facilities – 2700 S. Belmont Ave. and 3800 W. Southport Rd., Indianapolis., which are currently permitted separately. The public may review the draft permit and related documents at these locations:

  • Marion County Health Department, 3838 N. Rural St., Indianapolis, IN 46205; and,
  • IDEM's Central File Room, 12th floor of the Indiana Government Center North building, at 100 North Senate Avenue, in Indianapolis. The Central File Room is open Monday through Friday, excluding official holidays, between the hours of 8:15 a.m. and 4 p.m. (local time). People who plan to visit IDEM to review these documents should call the IDEM Central File Room at (317) 232-8667 to make arrangements beforehand.
