Eric J. Wickens presents Christmas Concert

FISHERS, IN - Eric J.Wickens, Bass-Baritone, a resident of Fishers, IN, will present his second annual Christmas Concert, this year entitled Home for the Holidays, on Saturday, December 8th at 6:30pm with accompanist Emily Block and her daughter, clarinetist Christina Block. 

The program will include traditional Christmas songs such as I'll be Home for Christmas, The Conventry Carol, and Silent Night...as well as the childhood favorite Toyland from Babes in Toyland, the entertaining You're a Mean One, Mister Grinch from Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, and the dramatic Still Her Little Child. 

The program will take place at Faith Presbyterian Church at 8170 Hague Road in Indianapolis.  Admission to the program is free.

Eric J. Wickens, Bass-Baritone, grew up in Anderson, IN, and now makes his home in Fishers, IN.  Eric has been a student of Judith Natalucci, New York City, for the past three years, but credits Alexandra Kocoshis, a member of Ball State’s faculty, for bringing music back into his life.  In the past two years, Eric has presented programs featuring opera, art songs, Broadway standards and Christmas music with accompanist Emly Block. 

Wickens is a member of the professional choir Voce, Harmonie Opera Club and sings regularly at Meridian Street United Methodist.  He has recently been a soloist at Lawrence United Methodist Church, Bellaire United Methodist Church and Union Chapel United Methodist Church as well as performing a patriotic program with accompanist Giannina Hofmeister at Hoosier Village Retirement Center. 

Wickens has also been a member of the Indianapolis Opera Chorus, Christ Church Cathedral’s Festival Chorus, Second Presbyterian’s Beecher Singers, the Purdue Varsity Glee Club and has also performed in numerous community theater productions including Oklahoma, Guys and Dolls, and H.M.S. Pinafore.
