So how much intelligence does it REQUIRE to become a Politician? In State, County or City Politics?
I was reading the Word this morning and studying Just Judgement and it came to me I was learning something about being a part o the political process in ours or any form of government. That being able to get, grow, retain and apply Knowledge, understanding and wisdom; sufficient to exercise Just Judgement. So in Spirit and In Truth, one can say, I have retained my Integrity in my conduct, my dealings, my affairs, and my decision making. Understand please, that this applies to both Males and Females, crosses and exceeds, any and all lines of ethnicity, political or religious lines and every economic strata or community status.
As I read and thought back on what I have seen and heard in my life over just the past thirty to forty years, is very profound. I have seen so much and observed that the truth I am reading is over a couple thousand years old at the time of it's writing and all that has really changed is the names, places, and speed at which we learn or hear about things around us. That's right, only the names, places and speed of communication, is for the most part what has changed. Some may be asking why not Medical Science? Or New Countries? Or Space? Well it is just that surgery, and psychiatry has been around almost as long as the Bible, Countries come and Countries go, but God has not Created any more Ground for them to be located on. The Same stars that were in the evening sky are to the best of my knowledge the same ones we see today (allowance for solar drift excepted).
I was singularly struck by an understanding, that we (all of us) were to come to a common understanding; that being GOD IS, and all that we can think to find to see, talk about and do something with "What, belongs to HIM", we are at best, Share Croppers, and at worst Squatters / Trespassers. We really don't have any claim on the land we call our own as a possession, or are otherwise given title to from some other Share Cropper/Squatter/Trespasser. We are allowed to work it to bring forth food to eat, material to make clothing, and dig wells to drink from. The Earth He (GOD) created even allows a process of renewal and refurbishment, complete with seasons, times and a revealed word to live by.
I am AWE Stuck that so much Intelligence has gone so unnoticed by so many for so long. Or adversely challenged to try to make GOD some kind of Martian, or other form of Life, other then what He Himself reveals to us He Is. He says He is Spirit, and He is Holy; He is the Holy Spirit over all. We are allowed to be stewards in His economy, and His Time Line. We are allowed to use and abuse ourselves at our own risk but to "told" to remember that His "Revealed" Word will someday Judge us, "all of us" and we are also "told" to conduct ourselves in more Christ Like "Fruit of the Spirit" manner to allow Him to inspect our fruitfulness and help in pruning and purging to help us become even more "Fruitful" and to not be broken off or burned up. Good advise I think it is worth while accepting and living a life style of "Christ Likeness" to be Holy Spirit "Fruitful".
I say all the above to say this: Just how intelligent does one need to be to be a Political representitive in this our day, time, and hour? I think a strong Reverent Fear of GOD is a must, to the end, they and we would are "always" able to know that the person representing anyone else is no better or worse then anyone else, simply human beings able to exercise Just Judgement, and doesn't think they themselves are god. Now this may seem like no big deal, as no one should really think they are god! Yet history has taught and still teaches us that many do think of themselves as incarnate god like being who is worthy of worship and homage reserved for the one True God, and Father of the Lord, our God, Christ Jesus.
Some Faith Groups even make a human agent God's foremost agent on earth. or an extension office of a heavenly sort. But the Bible makes this a Non-Possibility. Then we are "told" to be found watching and even testing the Spirit of the persons making grandiose claims. We are "told" NOT to be Deceived. Neither are we to deceive ourselves or allow anyone else to deceive us, about spiritual matters, doctrines, and then things that are truth or not truth. Going so far as to use analogies about milk vs. meat, and babes vs. mature adult thinking and doing.
So I have come the the point today that I think it begs to be asked; how intelligent does one have to be, before one is allowed to represent others? Bucolically, the O.T. set the bar at thirty to forty years of age and let it run to about fifty years of age. Even if Moses, Aron and others lived longer and there are other exceptions; the general age was 30 to 50 years of age. It alludes to the fact they lived long enough to know by experience forced upon them from exposure to common things of nature, community and family life to know how to conduct themselves. How to approach circumstances, situations, and agreements or requests as to do them correctly or have learned hard lessons from not having done them correctly; but now able to look back to a pattern of good or bad decisions and obedience. Not that anyone escapes making a bad or poor decision, but how they respond from it in a manner of learning from it and how they changed thier doings afterward. Enough opportunity has taken place to develop a predictable expectation as to how they will respond or react.
So my considered opinion is this: No one under thirty years of age should hold public office. No one older then Sixty should ever consider someone younger then themselves too young to hold an office or act responsibly, if they have attained thirty years old or older they should be able to have and express an opinion and even be able to offer advise to those younger then themselves and sometimes even to those who have not lived the same extensive life that are older. But the bedrock truth is insoluble among other affairs and musing of mankind. No matte how we change a civilization or remain in isolation, the Truth of the Word applies and extends to all mankind and every corner of the earth. It is irrepressible and irresistible, and sometime incomprehensible until one can mature in knowledge, understanding and wisdom brought about by His pruning and purging. Ye it is an inevitability that if we are to rule in just judgement, we must first be taught just judgement, in righteousness. Unless a man be taught of the Holy Spirit the things of the Spirit of GOD to all mankind, and it is He Himself that gives us Eyes to see and Ears to hear his still small voice in a quiet place within our souls. It is the "Fertile Soil of he Spirit" of GOD, where the Seed of the Word of God is Sowed and cared for.
My conclusion is this; a person who would lead as a representative, must first be willing to understand what GOD Himself is teaching all persons who care to learn and grow in knowledge, understanding, and wisdom. They then need to have lived long enough to have some experience at applying the lessons being taught, in such a such a manner as to "demonstrate" they have such knowledge, understanding and wisdom. They then need to articulate that knowledge, understanding and wisdom and be living a lifestyle such as anyone who care to look into it can judge for themselves that person is able to exercise "Just Judgement", is able to be less likely to be "deceiving or deceived" and lastly will do the right thing when the time comes, just because it is the right thing to do for the right reason. If that person is between Thirty and Sixty, better still. If that person has a patten of life that others point to them being worthy as in the sending of the 12 and the seventy better still. If not it takes a lot of observation, talking, debate sometimes, and trials that test ones metal, to better understand their resolve and ability to maintain their integrity. Once tested and integrity retained and life blessed with more fruitful years, better still.
So there we have it; what I have come to beleive is what it takes to be a representative of We The People of One Nation Under GOD.
