Does a person "Need" a collage education to be a decent, upright political representitive for We The People?
I don't think so. Yet I do think they have to have lived enough of life in these United States and traveled enough to have been exposed enough to have a good deal of "common sense" and knowledge of the world at large. I do think they should have known some form of real Loving Kindness in their life to know how it feels with and without it. To have experienced being poor enough to have been forced to go without, and I am not talking about fast here, but true depth of poverty where one has been forced to choose between two otherwise tragic alternatives that tested their metal and resolve.
I do think one should have completed some middle school, be able to do basic math, read well, understand what they read and be able to choose between poor, good, better and best and understand why there are differences, and what makes the choices what they are. They must be able to "reason and extrapolate".
I do think they should know how to do research on thier own; in in knowing where and what to look, and form really good questions that could lead to timely accurate and decisions. I do think they should know how to choose good advisers; not just ones that will agree with them, but will interject and challenge their own thinking without being rude or disobedient to the authorities once a decision is made, and time has been determined to allow a course of action to be made to work. And possess an attitude of Latitude to allow for error without recrimination. People have to experiment to learn sometimes, and once a pattern is found not to work they need to be able to try something different and maybe even somewhat radical if it shows promise and can be afforded a chance of making things for the common good better. Really better, not just for the few special interest, but for the real common good of all.
So what I am saying is simply this, that every person of mankind should have a shot at being a representitive of We The People if they are of us, not above us. If they hold common values, common mores, common sense, and are more interested in the common good, then their own good. If they are willing to serve and not take over. if they are willing to mentor their replacements when the time comes. If they are willing and able to withstand the "expected" life of assaults upon their integrity and to protect their duty to We The People, from special interest and big money and their attempts, to corrupt and sully them and their integrity; if they can do these things, they should be able to represent We The People.
If you know such people that GOD is preparing for such a time as this, encourage, uplift and pray for them, their families, and close associates, to be able to be magnified by GOD, so as to be able to rise to positions of leadership of tens, fifties, hundreds, thousands and of a nation so as to represent us in our day, time, and hour; as we need such leaders very soon.
We need uncommon leaders with a lot of good common sense and a shepherd's heart to serve the common good.
