Of Liberty and Freedoms

In our war for independence, it was popular to say don't tread on me, Give me Liberty or Give me Death, and much was written about our Rights, Privileges and Immunities.  Yet it took the bill of rights to get the constitution ratified, and many Supreme Court Cases later the fight is still being waged.

Why is it, 200 plus years later we are still arguing, debating, and being forced to go to law, about such things as Property Rights, Eminent Domain, Tax Seizures and the such, between ourselves and our governments?  Why in all this time, have we not been able to come to terms with the terms and definitions of the language we choose to use between the commonality of all mankind and our government officals and thier minions?

The Reason is big money with the power to garner support among powerful special interests, used to influence our Elected and Appointed representitives at every level of Federal, State and Local Government.  Our inability to put a halt to such influence and the special interests ability to continue to adversely influence the Common Good and get laws and administrative codes passed at work to make our lives more chattel then free, are and do make us in this USA of ours' little more then Economic Slaves to a system of taxation we have no rights, privileges and Immunities from being forced into bondage to.  The government polices enacted by our own representatives are at fault, time and again we in good faith elect someone promising change only to find them inept, unable to bring about change of a meaningful measure, or changed into another pig at the troth of government largess.

Of course, a shift from bad policy to good policy would be welcomed, but over time and time again, ultimately, We The People, can't be content simply with remaining Economic slaves and treated like Pups at the public pound, to whom "scraps of freedom and Liberty" are to be given when it is judged "convenient" by our professional political "masters". We must not ever become so content; until we are able to insure, there are no more any  masters or slaves, but only Equal, Just, and Democratic Principles spelled out very explicitly, and Accountable Leaders, Responsive Agents or rules that are made to be exercised by the Common Man, High, Middle or Low Born with less interfering Administrative Codes and Associated Costs that prevent We The People from exercising Referendums, Binding Resolutions, and Recall Authority, over every level of Federal, State, County, and State Government.

No one person or group of persons should ever be above the law, or reproach of the People to question any position.  Honor is Earned, not bestowed.  Trust is Earned, not inherited, bestowed, or guaranteed by rank, position, or money, or the ability to get, hold, and distribute money to by influences.  Up to now this Grand Experiment has done pretty well; to the extent we now exist from sea to shining sea.  Our North and South boarders are little more then sieves; and need to be addressed and our Common Interests bound together by Common Values; Not Property Values and Assessment's that make us less secure and less free to exercise less liberty.

What is not asked too often, is if we have already failed to become the Of The People, For the People and By The People Democracy we were envisioned to become and claim to be in many parts throughout the Heartland of America?  My response is this, we are becoming less Democratic as a Republic, and more Socialistic due to the General Public Demanding more from either our Federal, or  State Government, and their respective willingness to try to deliver, on such demands or expectations for the level of taxes or the perception of what is made available by other governments, in relation to our own.  I am including a link that some may find interesting in relation to freedom, liberty, productivity, and Governments ability to deliver.

Found in a search for Liberty:  http://noconceptofliberty.blogspot.com/2005/10/new-economic-policy.html  and linked to Economics.

This fooling link, is more telling about many of our "Founding Fathers" less well known affiliations and closely held allegiances, mind you now I am no conspiracy theorist, but merely laying out some facts that are not often taught in many quarters of our more public institutions.  http://www.freemasons-freemasonry.com/Davidson.html  for the Freemason contributions to Liberty.

So we see we have much unfinished business for this current generation to accomplish or do we intend to continue to pass it on to the next and the next and the next; as it has been passed on to us?

And try not to forget, we can only serve One Master, and Our interests should be closely aligned with Our Masters; principles, manners, ethics, morals, and  judgements, decisions, teachings, and example.  Or are we simply blind, self indulgent and slothful servants who will not see any reward beyond this world?
