Read Across America Week at Sutton Elementary

MUNCIE, IN - Sutton Elementary will celebrate Read Across America Week, March 3-,7 with Dr. Seuss book-themed FUN days. A Reading is Fundamental book distribution Family Night is planned for March 6, 2008.

Other events include:

• Mon. Mar. 3  Everyone wears one or a combination of the official Dr. Seuss colors – red, white and black.   
• Tues. Mar. 4  Grinch Day – everyone wears green. 
• Thur. Mar. 6  Read-A-Shirt Day – everyone wears a shirt with words    

                  5:30 –7:00 Family Reading Night/Birthday Party for Dr. Seuss

This will be our 3rd and final distribution for our Reading Is Fundamental grant.  As well as selecting a free paperback book of their choice, students and families will have the opportunity to enjoy free pizza, make a birthday craft, and shop at the ½ price Scholastic Book Fair.  Dr. Seuss related prizes (books and plush book characters) will be given away throughout the evening. 

• Fri. Mar. 7  Fox in Socks Day – everyone wears crazy socks.
