Indianapolis Man Dies After Jump on Northeast Side

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Tuesday evening, February 26, at approximately 5:39 p.m., Indiana State Police responded to I-465 northbound at the 37.5 mile-marker after an Indianapolis man jumped from the 75th Street overpass.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Daniel A. Rich, 30, Indianapolis, jumped off the 75th Street overpass onto I-465 northbound in an attempted suicide. He was not struck by any passing cars. Rich was transported to Methodist Hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.
