State Legislature Honors Indiana State Police

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The Indiana State Police Department was recently recognized by the Indiana House of Representatives and the Senate for 75 years of service. Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 54 was presented to Dr. Paul Whitesell Ph.D., Superintendent, Indiana State Police, by Senator Bob Meeks and Representative Vern Tincher.

Meeks and Tincher, both former Indiana State Troopers, spoke of their service with the department and the changes that have taken place since it's inception in 1933. During this time 45 members of the Indiana State Police have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving the people of the State of Indiana.

The Resolution reads; "That the Indiana General Assembly recognizes the Indiana State Police Department on its 75th anniversary and commends the achievement and dedication of the men and women who have honorably served the State of Indiana as members of the Department."

"We as a Department are honored to be recognized by the General Assembly with this Resolution and appreciate the time the members have taken to show their support to the Indiana State Police" said Superintendent Whitesell.
