Indianapolis Woman Shot on I-465
MARION COUNTY, IN - Early Thursday morning, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Indiana State Police responded to I-465 southbound near the 40 mile-marker after receiving reports of a person shot.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Ronald G. Brooks, 24, Indianapolis, was driving his green 1996 Chevy Suburban southbound on I-465 near the 40 mile-marker when he became involved in an incident with an unknown white male driving a green Chevy Lumina.
The unknown white male allegedly displayed a handgun and fired several rounds into Brooks’s vehicle. The front seat passenger of Brooks’s vehicle, Alnetta King, 22, Indianapolis, was struck in the abdomen by one of the rounds. Brooks and his back seat passenger, Teanna Warren, 22, Indianapolis, were not injured. The unknown suspect left the scene southbound on I-465. King was transported to Methodist Hospital where she is being treated for a single gun shot wound and listed in stable condition.
