Drug Investigation Nets 5 Arrest in Rural Shipshewana

LAGRANGE, COUNTY -  Troopers from the Indiana State Police acted on a tip which took them to a rural Shipshewana residence where they discovered an active Methamphetamine Drug Lab. Officers from the state police Clandestine Laboratory Enforcement Team assisted in the investigation and dismantling of the clandestine drug operation.  In addition to the active lab, officers found Methamphetamine (finished product) Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. The location of the arrest action and subsequent investigation was at 7620 North, 900 West, Shipshewana. 

ARRESTED: 

Merrill D. Green II (40) of Shipshewana.  Green is charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine.
Sherry L. Manges (42) of Shipshewana. Manges is charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine.
Travis L. Thompson (35) of Middlebury, Indiana.  He is charged with Visiting a Common Nuisance.
Michelle R. Tyler (31) of Middlebury.  She is charged with Visiting a Common Nuisance.
Scott R. Dedune (22) of Shipshewana.  He is charged with Visiting a Common Nuisance.

Green and Manges are residents of the 7620 North, 900 West location.  All suspects were transported to LaGrange County Jail where they were incarcerated.  Manufacturing Methamphetamine is a class B-felony and Visiting a Common Nuisance is a class B-misdemeanor. 

Leading the investigation for the State Police is Trooper Deven Hostetler. He was assisted by Trooper Rob Smith of the Methamphetamine Suppression Unit and Detective Matt Collins of the Criminal Investigation Division.  The investigation is continuing.
