Memorial Day is just around the corner, have you done your part to help local cemeteries place flags?

Each year in May we prepare our local cemeteries for Memorial day; and it is always the same thing, the local staff is busy doing their best with limited staff, and budgets to get the cemeteries fit for public visitation on a regular basis but especially on this day of the year.

http://www.cem.va.gov/CEM/index.asp This link takes you to the VA site that talks about grave sites, memorials and headstones.

Sometimes groups get lucky and find a grave site clearly marked and even a place to place the flag Flag holders are rare to find next to a head stone, but mark the headstone as a veteran and even provide a place for the flag.

Thank God for Groups like the CAP for being willing to put out flags in cemeteries  It is always nice to see the young folks out doing something like putting flags on public cemeteries veterans grave sites.  Volunteers and future Patriots who will serve with honor.

Individuals as well as groups are welcome to volunteer to help put out flags.  Be it a group or an individual, the help is always needful and always appreciated when it is done right, completly, and with reverence.

If you have the inclination and time?  Please volunteer at your local cemetery to help put out flags on our Veterans Grave sites.
