Why the Property Tax Battle is NOT Over Yet, just because thay have offered us Caps!

Much to my chagrin, it would seem we have an ever dwindling number of Property Tax Protesters who have been deceived into thinking we have won some sort of victory over out of control government, and poor representation when it comes to how they spend our money from Property Taxes. Wrong, and not only wrong, but dangerous to our economic futures.

The problem continues to be that our own representative Government and our Elected and appointed Officials continue to hold us, our homes, properties, and business Hostages’ to their intent to maintain Property Taxation as the prime means to help in funding the State Operating Budget. This has been wrong from its inception, continues to be wrong in all the forms of changes and twists and turns it has made until today. And will remain wrong until such day as we have achieved a State Constitutional Change to once and for all time end this form of political and economic jeopardy, fostered by our out of control representative officials’.

Now that we have been through the last series of Protests, Petitions, etc. we see we have only received a “collective” slap in the face from our elected representative Government, in the form of ineffectual Property Tax caps designed to make us “sub-servant to our government, rather then the other way around. This to me is the Last Straw. Election time is upon us once again, and thus the time to make more decisions concerning our representation.

It has become my considered opinion, that we can no longer “afford” our present form of representative misrepresentation. It has become bloated, ineffective, burdensome and corrupted by influences beyond the control of the electorate, and makes changes representatives of no real value. In keeping with my non-partisan position, I am only concerned with the Constitutionality of the Process of Checks and Balances’ “We The People” have available to us to exercise to correct what has gone astray.

Part of the American Dream is to have secured our homes, business’ and properties we live by; and except for some criminal activity by us on them, should never be placed in Jeopardy of being seized by the Government for any reason. I am not talking about foreclosure here or Eminent Domain either. I am referring to Homes we live in, our family homesteads we pass on to our children and near next of kin after us. I am talking about our ability to “Effectively Resist” our own government incursion into what is suppose to be our Rights’, Privileges’, and Immunities’.

It is bad enough the same government we elect to protect us for Predatory Practices, has itself adopted many of those practices against its own people from whom it draws it legal right to exist. Our current form of government is not the problem, as much as the way the representatives’ have chosen to do our common business.

If you love this country, but don’t trust your Government, I hope you will respond to this blog in a manner you find appropriate to discuss possible solutions. In the mean time, I ask you to check out the following site links and please review the material and let me know if you can agree with what seems to be a possible solution to the need to correct the problem of an out of control government, its spending, and its abuses of infringement and insolent behavior towards the electorate.

Demand open and accountable government, and responsible spending. Insist on Binding Resolutions, Referendums, Recall Authority and Term Limits at all levels of State, County, City/Township government. Let’s work towards more “Retained Rights” not less.
