Results from Redkey District DUI Checkpoint and Patrols

REDKEY, IN - Indiana State Police troopers from the Redkey District conducted a DUI checkpoint in Randolph County during the late evening hours of the 19^th. Additionally, DUI patrols were conducted during the early morning hours of the 20^th within the Redkey District which includes Blackford, Delaware, Grant, Jay and Randolph Counties.

The Indiana State Police is committed to traffic safety, and will continue to conduct checkpoints and saturation patrols throughout 2008 to apprehend intoxicated drivers, and to deter others from drinking and driving.

The following information is the results from the DUI checkpoint and enforcement patrols:

• Driving while intoxicated misdemeanor arrests:      6
• Driving while intoxicated felony arrest:                     1
