Ramps at I-80/94 and Kennedy Ave. Reopen

LAKE COUNTY, IN - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces the ramps at I-80/94 and Kennedy Avenue have reopened to traffic. INDOT crews worked with the crews from the City of Hammond to remove debris from Kennedy Ave. to reopen the road for north-south traffic.

INDOT crews worked throughout the day to remove the pumps, pipes and remaining debris from the ramps to safely reopen all ramps to and from I-80/94 to traffic.

I-80/94 reopened to traffic Thursday evening as well as traffic on I-65 from U.S. 24 to I-80/94.  The ramp from northbound I-65 to eastbound I-80/94 reopened to traffic Sunday morning.  The only closure in northwest Indiana due to high water is State Road 55 (S.R. 55) between the towns of Thayer in Newton County and Shelby in Lake County.
