Indianapolis Restriction Update
INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The following restrictions and road closures are current or upcoming for the Indianapolis metropolitan area. Many restrictions listed below are dependent upon favorable weather conditions.
NEW RESTRICTIONS
·West 38th Street, near I-465 at the High School Road and Shore Drive intersections, may encounter daytime lane closures while striping crews paint permanent pavement markings.

UPDATED RESTRICTIONS
·S.R. 37 southbound, from Edgewood Avenue to Wicker Road, will have one lane closed where crews are installing lane markings or traffic sensors on recently resurfaced pavement.

·I-465 southbound, between the I-65 and I-74/Crawfordsville Road exits, will be restricted to one lane for pavement striping work.

·I-465, in both directions near the I-74/Crawfordsville Road and I-65 exits, will be restricted to one lane while paving crews resurface transitions between old and new pavement in the work zone. The I-465 northbound exit to I-65 will be closed between 9 p.m. Wednesday, October 29 and 6 a.m. Thursday, October 30, and traffic will be detoured north over I-865.

ACCELERATE 465 RESTRICTIONS
·I-465 and U.S. 36/Rockville Road interchange will be restricted for interchange reconstruction. U.S. 36/Rockville Road will be restricted to two narrow lanes in each direction with short turn lanes while contractors rebuild the bridge in two phases. The old loop ramps will be temporarily closed and the traffic pattern will operate like a diamond interchange, with traffic signals on either end of the I-465 bridge.

·Rockville Road ramp entering I-465 southbound, will be closed for extensive paving and reconstruction. Traffic will be detoured south over Lynhurst Drive and Washington Street.

·I-465 southbound, between the I-65 and I-74/Crawfordsville Road exits, will be shifted west into narrow lanes during Accelerate 465 interstate reconstruction and widening. I-65 southbound traffic will also merge into one lane before entering I-465 southbound.

·I-465 northbound, between 46th Street and 56th Street on the city's west side, will have the auxilary lane closed where crews are working to install new noise barriers. Four through lanes will remain open for northbound traffic.

·West 21st Street will be closed to replace the bridge over I-465. A posted detour follows High School Road, Vinewood Avenue, West 10th Street and Girls School Road.

·Shadeland Avenue entrance ramp to I-70 eastbound & I-465 will be closed to replace concrete pavement on the eastbound ramp system bridge over Shadeland Avenue. The I-70 eastbound ramp to I-465 will be shifted and restricted to narrow lanes during construction.

·S.R. 32, between U.S. 31 and Spring Mill Road in Westfield, will be shifted and will be restricted to narrow lanes while crews widen the road and install new sewer lines.

·Pendleton Pike (U.S. 36/S.R. 67), from I-465 to just east of Post Road, will be restricted to two
narrow lanes in each direction with no dedicated turn lanes while crews widen the road and install new water and sewer lines.

·U.S. 40/East Washington Street, between I-465 and Washington Square Mall, will be restricted to one narrow lane in each direction with a two-way center turn lane for road widening and reconstruction.

·I-70 near Airport/Sam Jones Expressway may encounter nighttime lane and ramp closures for bridge beam painting. I-70 may be restricted to one lane in either direction at night while crews are working overhead. The eastbound and westbound Airport/Sam Jones Expressway ramps that loop down to enter I-70 may be closed between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. while crews are working over the ramp lanes.

·I-70, I-465, Sam Jones/Airport Expressway and Ameriplex/Ronald Reagan Parkway, near Indianapolis International Airport, may encounter nighttime lane closures for installation of new overhead signage. Contractors are permitted 20-minute road closures between 12 p.m. and 5 a.m. while cranes swing overhead sign structures into place.
