Is Religion under attack by Atheists and Homosexual groups? Or is it the Ethics and Morals that are represented by Religion?

I don't know about the rest of you out there in cyberspace and able to read this post, but it is my considered opinion we are witnessing a "severe" increase in the form of assault on our freedom of Religion and the overall basis of our societies moral and ethical fabric.
It seems all to clear to me, that the Gay / Lesbian and Atheist agendas are coalescing to mount this assault, in degrees of before unheard of measure and persistence.
It is as if they can't wait to see the downfall of our freedoms to be free from the influence that people of Faith have brought to the formation of this country; and may well be in the process of doing to our nation what communism and other external assaults (Humanism) on our way of life could not do...divide us among ourselves so completely that we would not adhere to the rule of law or decency between our diverse peoples.
If these groups are allowed to persist and prevail in their assaults on our way of life and living; we will see freedom of religion be turned on its ear and become freedom from religion. We will see social restraints become social irresponsibility and license to conduct oneself in nearly any way that "feels good" and does not overtly (however unseemly) affect another person and the only recourse will be; to watch and wait and see, what effect will come about. And maybe adress it every two or four years while voting.
If there is anybody left in America to stand against this pending and ever pressing menace it must be we the People; and not left to our representatives to pass laws, or codes as they are ill suited to the occasion and need. We The People will have to be the ones to Vote (hopefully by referendum) to insure Marriage is between one man and one woman alone and let nothing else be called marriage, and we will have to insist that the homosexual lifestyle is not taught as an acceptable lifestyle to our children in our public schools. It is one thing to note it exists and a whole other matter to make it a fully acceptable and taught, as normal and acceptable or natural lifestyle.
A person who is 18 years of age can and should be allowed to vote; but it remains to be seen if they have lived long enough to have experienced enough of life to know the far reaching effects of such groups’ agendas to be able to vote on such issues objectivly and logically. People who are 30 years and older should have had enough exposure to the issues of life to be able to vote intelligently. Anyone who has looked around themselves and heard the radio, watched TV and read good news and research articles on such thngs, should be sufficiently aware of the scope and scale, of the assault on our morals and ethics in this nation, as it is currently being waged.
As a nation of people we must take a stand, and enjoin our common fight for traditional marriage, and decency; to remain one nation under God.

I'm afraid that I have trouble sharing your view of homosexuality as an affront to religion. An elaboration of your views would be appreciated.
It is not an easy thing to
It is not an easy thing to look at otherwise nice or good people who are living their conscience and speak the words of the Bible to them that what they hold as good and value as dear and have to explain why it is considered an abomination. But that is the difference between the Christian that accepts that the inspired Word of God, and is Revealed in the Preserved Word of God is the revelation of Himself to His created beings. When a Christian believes the Word of God as the Revelation of God; and because we are commanded to not add to or take away from the Word and are commanded to speak the Word of God to the practice we see as to it being good or evil, right or wrong, and truth or error.
Then it is clear we don't judge the person but the practice carried out by anyone to help them be convicted by the Word of God to help them see the wrong and enable them to correct themselves. It is not the person speaking or posting that is judging, but the Word received or rejected convicting the person hearing or reading. It is an act of loving kindness to speak the truth in love to help another be reconciled back to God.
I hope this helps MaryO
