Michael Kistler Joins State Health Department
INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Michael Kistler of Indianapolis has joined the Indiana State Department of Health to serve as chief financial officer and assistant commissioner for Operational Services. The Operational Services Division includes Asset Services, Finance, Office of Legal Affairs, Technology and Compliance, and the Office of Public Affairs.
Lance Rhodes, the former CFO and assistant commissioner at the State Department of Health, recently accepted a position at the Department of Education.

"Mike is a CPA with nearly forty years of professional experience in areas such as executive management, accounting, cost evaluation, long-range business planning, sales administration, quality control and compliance. He will be a great asset to the agency, especially as we face challenging economic times in the state and nation."
Kistler recently served as vice president at Group Link, Inc. in Indianapolis, where he was responsible for finance, accounting, banking, and operations. In addition to his experience as a business consultant, Kistler co-founded Logo Athletic, Inc. and grew it into the largest licensed-product company in the world, with 1,000 employees and more than $200 million in annual sales. He also held positions at Indiana National Corp. and Ernst & Ernst.

Kistler graduated from Indiana University in 1969 with a B.S. in Business Accounting.
