IDEM teams up with science teachers during national conference

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Staff from the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) will join Indiana science teachers during the Hoosiers Association of Science Teachers, Inc.'s (HASTI's) 39th annual conference from Feb. 4 through Feb. 6 at the Indiana Convention Center, Indianapolis.

IDEM's exhibitor booth will feature the agency's "Indiana's Environment and You" curriculum, which can help teach students their role in the environment and how their choices impact them, their community and all of Indiana.

"We appreciate the opportunity to promote our programs to state educators," said IDEM Commissioner Thomas Easterly. "This curriculum is designed to help students recognize the importance of the environment and develop a greater understanding about what can be done to improve the quality of our air, land and water."
