Indiana Farm Bureau to Host Farm Bill Meetings

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Indiana Farm Bureau has scheduled meetings around the state for farmers to get information about the latest farm bill and how changes from the 2002 bill will affect their farms.

Dr. Allan Gray, Purdue ag economist; Jim Rink, director, Rural & Farm/Crop/Commercial, Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance; and Farm Service Agency staff will present information during the sessions. Featured topics include ACRE (Average Crop Revenue Election), Supplemental Agricultural Disaster Assistance and crop insurance.

The programs run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. local time. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. A $20 fee to cover materials and lunch is due at the door, but attendees should RSVP at least one week in advance to the IFB regional manager listed for the meeting so that enough food and materials are available.
