Pence Welcomes President's Call for Fiscal Discipline

“The time-honored way to get Americans back to work is to allow them to keep more of their hard-earned money.”

WASHINGTON, DC - U.S. Congressman Mike Pence, Chairman of the House Republican Conference, issued the following statement in response to President Obama’s address to a joint session of Congress:
 
"American families are hurting and I welcome the President’s call for fiscal discipline.  However, as we work to address these issues, this is not the time to raise taxes on small businesses and family farms as the President wants to do. 

"The time-honored way to get Americans back to work is to allow them to keep more of their hard-earned money.  I look forward to working with the President to get the American people back to work."
