Man Injured In Miami County Crash

MIAMI COUNTY, IN -  On Friday, March 6, 2009, at approximately 7:50 a.m., the Indiana State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 31 at County Road 800 South, which injured a Waynetown, IN man.

Preliminary investigation by Master Trooper Randy Pryor revealed that a 1998 Dodge pickup truck driven by Grace P. Lane, 52, Peru, IN, was traveling southbound on U.S. 31. Lane attempted to turn eastbound onto County Road 800 South, when she struck a northbound 2005 Ford Explorer driven by James L. Woodall, 62, Waynetown, IN, in the driver side door. Woodall was transported, by Life Line Helicopter, to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis with neck and back injuries. Lane was not injured.

Master Trooper Pryor was assisted at the crash scene by ISP Captain Ed Schroder, ISP Corporal Phil Loos, the Miami County Sheriff’s Department, Bunker Hill Fire Department, Grissom Fire Department, Pipe Creek Fire Department, and Miami County EMS.
